Thousands of people started their Thanksgiving morning on Skypark Drive in Torrance by competing in the annual Harry Sutter Memorial Turkey Trot Fun Run.
More than 4,000 runners from all over the South Bay participated in the 5k run/walk.
There were a few elite runners in the front and members of various local track teams and running clubs, but most of the runners were family and children playing around having a great time in their community.
Some of the runners dressed up for the occasion with many dressed as turkeys with various Thanksgiving accessories.
This was the 44th year that the city has held the race with no competition or scoring. Those who missed it this year can try again next year, rain or shine as always.
